I like this series more and more. I usually dislike when the character focus shifts in such stories as I like to follow the MC all the time, but here it was so fitting and nicely done that I didn't mind at all.
I'm beginning to wonder if this wonderful writer is actually a big name author. The quality of the work is simply fantastic! I can't wait for future editions, stories, epics, heck I'd even take poems at this point if they're written by Cebelius.Now to the story at hand. This book takes a much darker tone, as the choices of the MC (Terry) finally begin to show real consequences. I'd like to point out that consequences of any kind are RARE in this genre. The characters around Terry continue to be the lifeblood of this story. His bonds grow in interesting and unique ways that develop naturally.Sign me up for more. HIGHLY recommended.
This book was definitely one that a lot of effort was put into. There were quite a few unresolved questions that got answered in this book, plus a few new ones that were raised. All in all, this story had quite a few ups and downs, but everything managed to end on a happy enough note, aside from that darn cliff hanger.If you've made it this far in Cebellius's series, you definitely should read this one. If you haven't made it this far in his series, give the previous books a try before taking a shot at this one, as with most stories that are in a chronicle, the previous books are important.Common tags to bear in mind when deciding to read: R-18, Harem, Monster Girl, Multiple partners at the same time, Gore, Violence, and some characters that have questionable morals. If you don't mind books with those in them, great! This story is for you. If not, you may wanna reconsider.
So without a doubt this book series is becoming a favorite of mine, because of the depth of character and the growth you can read and immensely enjoy. I have read so many books over the past few years and not many do I come back to and re-read. This is one of those I do actually come back to and enjoy again and again. I like the struggle the MC goes through. I like that he is a real MC who is very much a good guy who isnt afraid to be the bad guy when its needed. I cannot wait to see where this leads in the series and hope that this author keeps creating books for this series and if he branches out I will support it for sure.Great Writing Cebelius! Thank You!
As always with novels by Cebelius I was captivated from start to finish. My only complaint being that the book was shorter than I would have liked. I like my books to last me longer than two days.Granted I am a voracious reader and most novels last me between 3-4 days and the fact that novels by Cebelius are hard to put down and might have contributed to the duration being cut short.I also feel like compared to previous novels not much happened here. Even the duration in the novel was short covering only a few days. That being said I would have appreciated a longer novel. This is an extremely good series by a very talented writer. I would recommend this series to any lover of fiction 100%.
The fourth book of his journey and not one without strife, weight, and triumph.Cebelius has done an amazing job with the pace in this one.Character growth was definitely there and I felt he learned from the critiques of his previous books.The new additions to the cast and new enemies faced was a big treat as well.I like that he is branching the lore to not just Greek, but other cultures as well.Some I have not even read about yet when I took mythology courses.Kudos to helping me expand my knowledge and interests!My final thoughts are this is a great series to anyone whom likes monster girls, adventures, isekais, harems, and magical fantasy settings.To rate his books up until this point,Book 1 was a great startBook 2 great for more lore, but the character development was a little off. Trying to write a character that loves to fight, but is being taken aback by the moral decisions of having one's life in his hands, is no easy task. Plus writing out consequences of his actions to lay groundwork for future events takes experience. Cebelius definitely used this book as a test and learned from the criticism by others.Book 3 is another great addition that we start to see what the previous actions have done to Terry. And what his mind has prevailed through, albeit with guilt. His bonds grow with him and we see a culmination of prior events that start to solidify what kind of finale Terry wants for the world and his loved ones.Book 4 Consequences are shown deeper here yet the growth Terry goes through is real. It is written in a well thought out way with concerns to his ever growing bonds/family. What could easily be a mess is placed in a coherent way that makes Terry relatable. Harems are done so light-hearted in books and shows you think if it was so easy why doesn't everyone take part? In the real world we know why. There are complications as more emotions get poured in from all the members of the harem. Yet here it is done so tightly you can almost believe that yes with struggle and some hard work, a harem can work. It doesn't feel one dimensional or flat like in most manga. So kudos to this author, he is able to pull it all together and make you cheer for the characters.Can't wait for the next book. Have a great day everyone~
